Finding a Unit Nurse is no longer an arduous task. Nurses on Location was created in 2008 and has grown to become a passionate team of Registered Nurses who work throughout the production industry. Based in Sydney, we love working in our adopted cities of Melbourne, Canberra, Byron Bay, Far West, North of the border and beyond.
At Nurses on Location we work as Unit Nurses, Advisors and Children’s supervisors. Whether it be a TVC, Kids stills shoot, Feature film or Drama – we have a team of handpicked Nurses who are clinically excellent, trained in production life, supported by a team and use comprehensive workplace first aid kits that are adaptable to the need of each job. They are wise, gritty and resourceful.
Unit Nursing isn’t simply about first aid or standing by in case of an incident – The Nurses on Location crew are trained in the workings of a production – from pre to wrap to post - We understand how this industry rolls, where the risks are and how to work towards maintaining the crew’s wellbeing from Day 1 of filming to reduce the toll that can be taken. We are invested in assessing, treating, referring and following up in order to support the production throughout the intense period of filming. Physical, mental and emotional wellbeing are at the front of our minds.
Additional Nurses are available for Baby shoots, second units, water units, stunt heavy days or days where there are large cast and extra numbers on site. We work as a team and have a seamless handover and carry-on policy.
